Your Annapurna Base Camp Trek begins from Pokhara with a scenic drive toward Jhinu Danda. From Jhinu, the trekking section begins as you follow the trail toward Chhomrong.
The first day is relatively short in terms of trekking distance, but the trail includes steep stone steps, particularly toward the end of the walk. After approximately 2–3 hours of trekking, you reach Chhomrong, situated at around 2,170 meters.
What to expect: A combination of road travel and trekking, with the first significant uphill section of the journey.

Day 2 is one of the more demanding days of the ABC Trek 6 Days itinerary. You will cover approximately 12 km while gaining around 1,000 meters in elevation.
The day involves both descents and ascents, with a longer walking period than Day 1. As you gain altitude, the trek becomes more physically demanding, making a steady pace important.
You finish the day at Deurali, around 3,230 meters, where you can rest and prepare for the journey toward Annapurna Base Camp.
What to expect: A long trekking day with significant elevation gain and steep sections.
Trek distance: Approximately 7.5 km

From Deurali, the trail continues toward the higher reaches of the Annapurna Sanctuary. Although the distance is only around 7.5 km, the increasing elevation makes this day challenging.
You gain approximately 920 meters before reaching Annapurna Base Camp at about 4,130 meters. At this altitude, the air is thinner and temperatures can be cold, so the pace should remain comfortable and controlled.
After reaching ABC, you have the opportunity to experience the dramatic high-altitude surroundings that make this trek one of Nepal's most memorable Himalayan journeys.
What to expect: High altitude, colder temperatures, thinner air, and an unforgettable arrival at Annapurna Base Camp.
Trek distance: Approximately 17 km
Walking time: 6–7 hours
Elevation loss: Approximately 1,960 m
Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging
After reaching Annapurna Base Camp, the journey begins back toward the lower elevations.
This is the longest trekking day of the 6-day itinerary, covering approximately 17 km. The route descends from ABC at around 4,130 meters toward Sinuwa at approximately 2,340 meters.
Although you are descending rather than climbing, the long downhill sections can be demanding on the knees and legs. Maintaining a controlled pace and taking appropriate breaks can make the descent more comfortable.
What to expect: A long descent with substantial elevation loss and considerable impact on the knees.
Trek distance: Approximately 6.5 km
Walking time: 3–4 hours
Elevation loss: Approximately 560 m
Difficulty: Moderate
The fifth day is considerably shorter than the previous day's long descent.
From Sinuwa, you continue toward Jhinu Danda, covering approximately 6.5 km over 3–4 hours. The trail includes steep stairs on the way down.
Once you reach Jhinu, the nearby hot springs provide an excellent opportunity to relax and rest after several days on the trail.

Drive: Approximately 3–4 hours
Trekking: No major trekking section
Difficulty: Easy
