Itinerary
Arrive in Kathmandu at any time. Our airport representative will welcome you and explain the program further. There are no planned activities for the day, so check into the hotel. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.
Early morning transfer to the airport for Lukla flight. The flight to Lukla is a lifetime experience in itself. The airfield is at high evaluation and the difference between the two ends of the runway is about an exceptional 60 meters only. Trek to Phakding with an arresting, green landscape with the view of Kusum Kangraru. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
We follow the Dudh Koshi, ascending through Himalayan pine and cedar forests, to the celebrated village of Namche Bazaar. The village of Namche is a historic trading post where Nepalese and Tibetan traders exchange salt, dried meat and textiles.
Besides being a splendid destination to shop for traditional crafts, Namche remains the central trading post in the Khumbu that attracts Himalayan and lowland merchants. You will spend two days at Namche for acclimatization, visit local markets and spend time with your team. On the hike we capture our first glimpses of Everest and neighboring peaks. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
This day is especially sectioned for acclimatization. We will hike to Syangboche Airport (3700m), supposed to be the highest airport in the world, then continue climbing to Everest View Hotel for great panoramic views of the Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam, Tawache etc. On the way back, we visit Sherpa Culture Museum and Everest Photo Gallery. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
The uniform and easy trail leads us towards the view of Mount Everest, descending deep into the Dudh Koshi Valley at Pungki Thanka and from this point, it ascends the right flank of the Dudh Koshi valley to Tengboche Monastery (3860m). It is the spiritual center of the Khumbu. The climb is lengthy, but is more than adequately compensated by gorgeous views of Mount Amadablam and on a clear day, views of Mt. Everest and its surrounding peaks. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Descend through a beautiful forest, cross the Imja Khola and trek through the village of Pangboche (3900m); perhaps today is the most interesting trekking because you will not lose altitude like on other days and you will enjoy views of Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Lhotse & other peaks; the route continues through pastures to Dingboche, known as the ‘summer valley’. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
This would be your second acclimatization day that requires about 6 hours of trekking to an altitude of 5100m. After breakfast, you ascend Nagerjun (5100m), a hill located on the flanks of the Chhukung valley directly above Dingboche.
The main aim is to climb high and sleep low. The foot path becomes steep at times, resulting in a physically strenuous day. Ascending the hill could take up to 5 hours at altitude. From this altitude there are good views of Lobuche East (6119m), Lobuche West (6145m), Taboche Peak (6367m), Thamserku (6608m), Kangtega (6685m) and Ama Dablam (6856m). On a clear day, you could even see Makalu, the world’s fifth highest mountain, including great views of the Pheriche Valley.
After a short rest, you start the descent back to Dingboche and the walk at altitude takes about 2 hours. After lunch, take a well-deserved rest, as afternoon temperatures could drop rapidly as the sun sets over the mountain tops. You will also spend a second night in Dingboche. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Trek along a broad valley floor to Dughla, passing the Trekkers Aid Post at Pheriche (4240 m). This trek is staffed by western volunteer doctors and supported by the Himalayan Rescue Association, which offers treatment and consultation to trekkers. Continue up the valley, gaining altitude. We come out of the valley to descend to the yak pastures of Lobuche. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
After a short climb through meadows, look down at the Khumbu glacier. Straight ahead is Kalapattar – the best vantage point to view the entire south face of Mt. Everest and the surrounding peaks. After a couple of hours we will get to Gorekshep, and continue our journey to the Everest base camp. There is not much elevation gain, but there are a lot of ups and downs and, combined with altitude, this can be an exhausting trek – but the journey is worth it. After approximately 3 hrs of hiking, you will arrive at the base camp and enjoy a magnificent view of the Khumbu glacier and icefall, where the Everest expeditions begin. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
The day starts with a hike up to Kalapattar (5545m), the best viewpoint to witness Mount Everest, in all its glory and the spectacular Himalayan range. We then trek back to Gorekshep, for breakfast and then descend to Pheriche. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Easy walk along the Imja Khola, short climb to Tengboche, descend Pungki Thanka and complete steep to Kyangjuma, and easier trail to Namche. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
The trek continues along the Dudh Kosi River to the small mountain airstrip at Lukla, where you will catch your return flight to Kathmandu. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
30-minutes amazing scenic fly back to Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel, breakfast included.
Breakfast at hotel and approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight, a representative from the Tidy Himalaya will take you to the airport.

Brew A2024-12-03 ACE the Himalaya EBC Trek Just got back from the Everest Base Camp trek with ACE the Himalaya. We started the trek late November, which was good as there weren't too many people on the trail. However, it was getting pretty cold the last couple of nights before base camp as its coming into Winter. The days can be long and pretty challenging with some large ascents that seem never ending, but eventually they do. Following the days trek we would end up at guesthouses, which was always a nice way to finish a hard day due to the warmth, the kind people that work there and getting to meet other trekkers. ACE the Himalaya was extremely helpful in guiding us in what we need and what to expect for the trek. This was done over email in the months leading up to trek, and also meeting in person for a final run down the day before. We were super lucky to have Madan as our guide and Jit as our Porter. Madan was extremely informative about what we were looking at and happy to answer any questions we had along the way. He always kept our health in mind, ensuring we are walking slowly, eating enough food, drinking enough water, getting enough sleep all to help lower the chances of altitude and any other sickness along the way. I could not recommend ACE the Himalaya, Madan & Jit enough. nicholas p2024-12-03 Great trek Resham was a fantastic guide! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Looked after me well when I got altitude sickness- thanks Resham! Pippa M2024-12-02 Professional, reliable, a good all in one package. Looking forward to the next trip I booked a route with Ace to climb Island Peak, and the entire process and communication were outstanding. Our guides provided excellent advice, gave thoughtful recommendations, and led us incredibly well. I trusted them completely—especially my guide, Aamod, who accompanied me throughout the entire trek. Trust and an accurate assessment of one’s abilities are the most important things in the mountains, and Aamod truly excelled in both. The organization by Ace was flawless, allowing us to focus entirely on enjoying the trip without worrying about logistics. Climbing a peak at the end of November is, however, extremely cold. In hindsight, I would recommend going earlier in the season to avoid the freezing temperatures at higher altitudes.I would 100% recommend Ace to my friends, and I particularly want to highlight my guide, Aamod, who was incredibly reliable, communicative, and helpful. Overall, it was a thoroughly successful adventure! rvm9752024-12-02 Just Fantastic!! Just came back from this trek, what an experience!! The trek is incredibly beautiful, not crowded, and felt very authentic with lots of local cultures and small villages. Janu, our guide from Ace, was fantastic. We felt very safe with his leadership and he guided us through two minor cases of illness while at altitude, and one cut which later needed stitches (he found the nearest doctor in a nearby village). He even came personally to bring us to and from the airport at the end of our stay in nepal. Thank you Janu for your kindness, wisdom and for helping create such special memories! The group was very fun, our porter Binod came with the group also so we had two people watching over us. Ace the Himalaya also exceeded expectations, as they helped organise transport to Pokhara instead of Kathmandu after the trek, and provided free airport pickup and dropoff after our trip to pokhara (which was self organised). A fantastic trip, I would highly recommend!! Curious147993816422024-12-01 Trek of a lifetime! Trek of a lifetime! We didn’t expect so many steps and rocky terrain which made this trek a little more challenging for us. Our goal to reach EBC wouldn’t have been possible without the assistance of our wonderful guide Ram and porters Girija , Pardip and Dipak. They looked after us very well and went above and beyond to ensure we were all well looked after. The last day trek would have been better if it were split over 2 days so we could rest more before setting off to EBC, this would give trekkers more time to explore EBC before heading back to lodge.Thank you 🙏🏻 jeremy k2024-11-30 Base Camp Trek with Ace Great experience with Ace the Himalayas.
